We will have lots of pre-cut block kits each month.
No measuring, no cutting ... just sit and sew!
Spectacular results with a super easy block to finish each month and bring to the meeting. Finished blocks will be constructed to create a philanthropy quilt.

Block Construction Instructions
You will be making four seperate half square triangles (HST) units to create the completed block.
To create HST unit
1. Draw a diagonal line on the back of the 3 7/8" background block. Place the background and print right sides together and sew 1/4" seam on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the drawn line to produce two HST.2. Repeat making another set of HST. Lay out the HST so the print matches on the top section to form a triangle and the print on the bottom creates a diagonal line. Layout four HST and sew together to make one unit.
3. Make four HST unit. Layout each unit as shown in the picture on the left to create the finished block.
Your finished block should measure 12.5" x 12.5", please don't trim down the block once completed.

Block Construction Instructions
You will be making four seperate units to create the completed block.
To create a unit
1. Stitch a 3 7/8" triangle to a 3 1/2" background square. Press seam towards the triangle.2. Repeat adding a 3 7/8" triangle to the other side as shown in figure 2. Press seam towards the triangle and set this unit aside.
3. Stitch together the print triangle to a background triangle. Press seam towards the print. (figure 3)
4. Stitch step 2 and step 3 units together as show in figure 4 to create the block unit. (figure 5) Make four units to complete the block.
5. Sew the four units together following the block diagram to the left.
Your finished block should measure 12.5" x 12.5" but please don't trim down the block completed.
